BactoFilm™
BactoFilm™ is a microbial conditioning agent designed to support biofilm development and microbial diversity in the aquarium. The formulation includes dormant strains of probiotic bacteria, enzymatic complexes, and amino acids that become metabolically active in water.
Upon introduction to the aquatic environment, these microorganisms rapidly colonise available surfaces, enhancing the microbial biofilm matrix—an essential nutritional component for invertebrates, particularly larval and juvenile shrimp. The biofilm serves as a sustained, nutrient-rich food source, improving early-stage survival rates and creating an optimal breeding environment.
The probiotic cultures enhance nutrient assimilation, stabilise gut flora, and contribute to the biodegradation of organic detritus, thereby improving water quality and maintaining a stable micro-ecosystem.

Dosage Instructions
(Recommended for approx. 100 litres of aquarium water)
- Low Stocking Density: Use 1/2 measuring spoon once per day
- Normal Stocking Density: Use 1 measuring spoon once per day
- High Stocking Density: Use 1 measuring spoon twice per day
First-time use: When using BactoFilm for the first time, we recommend starting with half the normal dosage for the first week to allow your aquarium to adjust.
One measuring spoon = approximately 0.5 grams
- Best Before: New batches typically expire in 24 months. Keep out of direct sunlight. Store below 25°C. Store in a cool dark place.
